Lamont County Centennial Scholarship
Lamont County proudly supports the accomplishments and aspirations of local students through its annual Centennial Scholarship, designed to assist rural students in pursuing further education.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a resident of Lamont County (excluding towns and villages within the County)
- Have graduated within the past two years or be on track to graduate in the current year with an Alberta recognized high school diploma
- Have applied to a recognized post-secondary institution
- Demonstrate commitment to the community and education through:
- Community involvement
- Participation in extracurricular activities
- Employment and/or volunteer history
- While academic achievement is an important consideration, it will not be the primary factor in the selection process.
Application Package:
- Completed application form
- Cover letter outlining career goals and objective in pursuing further education
- Detailed Academic Report
- Two letters of recommendation:
- Academic (e.g., teacher, counsellor); and
- Personal (e.g., relative, friend, employer)
Deadline: June 30
